ABOUT THE SPACE

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art created a full refresh in 2018 of the education studio, which was previously geared towards a much younger pre-k audience. The goal was to make a space that was inclusive of all ages, so adults could enjoy the same space as a toddler. The theme was art + nature, which gave the educators maximum flexibility on engaging kids with art. We transformed the room with natural woods peppered with vibrant, imperfect drawings to encourage all skill levels to feel at ease in the space. Small educational information bits were placed throughout the room relating to local animals.
